Nutrition

The nutrition an infant receives is vitally important to their growth and development and has long-term effects on their health. Their needs are very different from those of an adult as they going through a phase of extremely rapid growth, with various organs and systems developing and maturing at different stages. We investigate how nutrition can affect the immune system and look at some specific components that are found in breastmilk and some infant formulas.
